According to an article on InsideHigherEd.com, studies show that students who make an official college visit and show a “demonstrated interest” in the schools they’re pursuing have an advantage in the admissions process over students who don’t make a campus visit.
However, this opportunity is not easily accessible for all students. That’s why each fall, we’re proud that our Scholars have the opportunity to participate in a number of college visits as part of their admissions journey.
“College visits are where dreams become tangible,” said Gaslande Fleurimont, MPA, CNP, Manager of College Admissions for Elevation Scholars. “Our coaching sessions and curriculum provide a great depth of information, but nothing beats experiencing the different types of collegiate environments.”
This year, our students have visited a variety of colleges and universities across the country. By the end of this year, Scholars will have visited the following schools:
Barry University
Brandeis University
Cornell University
Duke University
Florida A&M University
Florida International University
